Do what you can when you can because life will always present us with unanticipated scenarios. How well prepared we are to deal with these scenarios determine our quality of thought, and we know that our quality of thought determines how we perceive conditions.

(3.11) Inductive reasoning is a process of the objective mind in which we compare a number of separate instances with one another until we see the common factor that gives rise to them all.

Inductive reasoning gives way to forward thinking, the ability to anticipate and be prepared for possible conditions.

Mind is like a cauldron and how you spend your time is the ingredients. The conditions you meet in life are the meal.

Mental activity is a reflection of how we spend our time. If you want to change the object of your thought, change how you spend your time.

(6.19) The result of a change in thought results in a change of conditions.

Our most valuable currency is time. How we spend it will determine the choices we make and unfolding conditions that result. Products are marketed as lifestyle brands, and are designed to appeal to specific qualities of behavior that arise from emotions of the archetypes.

The method for overcoming all forms of frustration, is to constantly spend your time in active preparation for the conditions you desire to see manifest in your life. This same method of empowerment is utilized by worry to consume us. The subconscious does not discriminate, nor does it differentiate based on value, health or morality. It operates by the principles of natural law. Actions inspired by emotion create conditions.

Invariable Victory

We’ve all heard, “It’s not about quantity but quality,” or some variation of this concept, usually in reference to the acquisition of material goods. And is soon followed by the popular quip, “you get what you pay for.”

If time is our greatest currency then experience is a spectrum, circling between quality and quantity.

If you were to start a new book each day, regardless of whether you completed the one you started yesterday, you could create a lot of new experiences (quantity) but the quality of those experiences may not be as great than if you started a new book only after finishing the last. Similarly, if you aspire to be a baseball player, an astronaut, a cowboy and a pianist, your competence and skill will develop in tandem with whichever activities you may engage that can be applied to your aspiration.

(5.23) Power is manifested through the individual. Each individual is a channel whereby energy is differentiated in form.

The Other Way

Belief systems are the filters through which we organize options of experience. They can be very helpful, in this respect. Although it seems to me that enforced morality creates conditions for inequality, as sure as the absence of morality ensures it. What are we, then, to do?

The idea that others should be expected to uphold the standards I set for myself is impractical. That could only work if all people, everywhere, shared the same individual experiences. Morality is not a well defined system of group integrity, it is a general foundation upon which each individual builds a structure of personal beliefs with regard to their experiences.

Mind seeks to resolve inconsistencies it encounters. Ego understands inconsistencies as discrimination. Transcending ego rises above emotional attachment to conditions and chooses love rather than discrimination.

(2.3) The value of the subconscious is enormous. It guides us, it warms us, it controls the vital processes and is the seat of memory.

(2.4) The conscious mind has the faculty of discrimination, it has the power of reasoning. It is the seat of the will and may impress the subconscious.




Ego is unable to discern between archetypes, accepting whatever voice captures its attention (or is made to). Repeated behavior becomes a force that guides our future.

Mantras are dialogue replacement. We repeat Mantras to replace wandering thought with concentrated attention. Whatever is the object of your thought is your mantra. It will determine the opportunities you create for progress through life. The journey happens wether you want to participate or not. Our biggest error in judgement is assuming we are the object of another’s attention.

Undermining Self

Undermining Self is the primary method by which the competing archetypes of psyche battle for control of your inner pantheon. There are eight primary dialogues:

  1. King/Queen
  2. Warrior
  3. Lover
  4. Magician

Each of these four primary dialogues has a corresponding shadow, for a total of eight primary dialogues. Each has characteristics and skills we need to get through life–which makes all eight essential to healthy psychic development–and thus, can not be discarded or ignored. Yet, each of the dialogues, in their immature and/or shadow state, also possess qualities of behavior that are in opposition to the others.

Ego may be understood as the bipolar dictator of the unintegrated, immature archetypes–as indicated by the inverted triangle the top of the circle in the illustration below. Who we are– from moment to moment–depends entirely on whichever archetype captures the attention of ego or offers it a “solution” to dealing with the conditions we face in life. Ego considers itself “Zeus” of our internal pantheon, even though it is only a conduit of power to the archetypes.


Procrastination results from habitually second guessing ourselves. We second guess ourselves because we don’t trust ourselves, which is a result of becoming consciously aware that our desires from moment to moment are not consistent. This awareness is actually a great thing because it means you can take steps toward cultivating consistency. The result of this awareness is the ability to observe conditions, and we may refer to this observing state as ego transcendence.

If you could not see the bipolar nature of the undeveloped archetypes, you would have no incentive for the maturation and integration of the archetypes.

To rise above adversity, one must transcend egos emotional attraction to conditions and make decisions from a place of observation. This ability to choose is freewill. WILLINGNESS TO INSTIGATE CHANGE leads to ego in harmony with Self.

The degree of personal crisis you experience is reflective of your stubbornness to change. If you choose not to use freewill to instigate change, the unconscious will create conditions that force you to confront the issues you have been avoiding. This is how nature works.

Self may be understood as authentic being. As represented by the “star” in the center of the illustration above, Self may utilize any combination of the archetypes at any time from it’s position as a detached observer of all experience.

(5.21) Consciousness is the real secret of power because whenever we become conscious of power it is manifested in the objective world; it is brought forth into tangible expression.

Demonstrating Desire

What is the relationship between your desires and capabilities? There are two types of desire:

1. Head desire

2. Heart desire

Head desire is the equivalent of lust and may be understood as something for nothing. It requires no investment and hinges on entitlement.

Heart desire is the equivalent of passion and may be understood as demonstration. It requires investment and hinges on commitment.

To attract desire we must demonstrate our ability to handle opportunities we already have. If we aspire to be something (writer/ professional dancer, etc) we must demonstrate that desire by using our time and money to develop the skills necessary to attract that opportunity so we are ready for it when it arises.

Rise Above

What criteria determines your ability to relate to another person?

Our ability to dehumanize those we “find difficulty” relating to creates the conditions for intolerance, hostility and apathy.

Consciousness anchors us to all other life forms. Any other “criteria” for relating to others is based on superficial qualities (race, gender, etc.) and originates from ego-judgement, which reduces our position on the consciousness specteum. All judgement originates from ego-insecurity.

We may temporarily suspend judgement based on morality, but we may be sure this has not disolved the insecurity prompting judgement, and this insecurity will manifest itself in a new way.

Eliminating insecurity is the only long term solution to disolving judgement and ascending on the spectrum of consciousness/awareness.

Insecurity is an effect. To eliminate insecurity, we must discover it’s cause.

Family relationships provide a unique anchor to who we’ve been. This is important because who we are and who we may become can only exist because of who we were. Ignoring the past is like trying to navigate through the wilderness without a compass.

The story of our spiritual, mental and physical growth provides us with a self-referential index so we don’t get lost in the journey of life. Family holds us accountable to who we’ve been by virtue of their memories, which they hold up like mirrors to show us our progress through life, or lack of it. A service which we, in turn, provide them.

This accountability factor happens regardless of intention, because we see ourselves reflected in the behavior of family, and we are forced to compare and contrast our current behavior/beliefs from past behavior/beliefs. We observe similarities and differences. We extend grace and intolerance to family in unique ways that separate family from other relationships. As a result, our experience of grief and love is intensified.

Regardless of your relationship with family, they can not be replaced because we did not choose them, and we perpetuate this cycle for our children, who don’t choose us as parents, our siblings as aunts/uncles, or our parents as grandparents. This absence of choice creates deep complexes which we spend our lives attempting to resolve.

Relationships thrive absent of resentment. Resentment is holding others responsible for having intentions we’ve assumed while holding ourselves responsible for allowing their behavior to rob us of something.

We tend to resent ourselves for lessons we’ve yet to integrate. We tend to resent others for their role in co-creating conditions that prepare us for integration (if we have been resisting this necessary process); that point at which we become conscious of our ability to adjust ourselves to unchanging principles.

Have a laugh at your expense

Conditions are not arbitrary. Conditions we encounter in life are effects. Many of our frustrations exist because we create the condition for what frustrates us to occur. You burn yourself because you touched a pot that was hot, you tripped because you were texting not watching as you walked, a pile of books falls over because they are not balanced and stacked to high.

When frustrations like this happen it is important to remember that we created the scenario that allowed it to happen, otherwise we begin to act as though we are entitled to avoid responsibility for our actions.

It also helps tremendously to take a moment and realize how lucky you are that conditions aren’t worse. A recognition of what we’ve been saved from, replaces our victim dialogue (reaction) with gratitude (response).

(4.18) A solution to our problems seems difficult if we are uninformed or inexperienced.

Projection Awareness

Projection Awareness is a consciousness recognition that others do not see you the way you see yourself. Likewise, how you see others is not the way they see themselves. If you ever struggled to understand why another is unable to share your point of view, this is why.

Discovering belief systems that give way to our thoughts and action are fundamental tools to building significant relationships with others.

(1.25) Thought is transmuted into character and character is the magnet that creates our environment.

Belief forms when action confirms thought, which means it is experiencial and experience is unique to each individual. We may share an event, but how we internalize that event is our experience, and will be as different as the way we recall it. Memory is subjective and is constantly being differentiated in form by our beliefs.

Our desire to remember the past (or imagine the future) in a specific way impresses itself upon our predominant mental attitude. The subconscious does not make a value judgement on the nature of our rumination. It will accept whatever is consistent in thought and action. We always have a choice, though habit makes our choice more predictable.

(2.5) Conscious mind in reasoning will. Subconscious mind is instinctive desire, the result of past reasoning will.
