7.19-24

(7.19) A conscious recognition of the truth invariably destroys error. We do not have to laboriously shovel the darkness out. All that is required is to turn the light on. This same principle applies to every form of negative thought.

When we become conscious of a state of being, there is no way NOT to become conscious of it, only to ignore it.

(7.20) Insight enables us to understand the value of making application of knowledge we have learned. Many seem to think knowledge applies itself which is, by no means, true.

Insight is an understanding that unapplied knowledge is worthless.

(7.21) The first law of success is service.

Find a way to ensure your goals are of service to others.

(7.22) We may be of the most service by keeping an open mind. Be interested in the race not the goal; the pursuit not the possession.

As we set goals, it is important not to become attached to our assumptions of how that goal will take shape. We are only responsible for the how that we controlhow we spend our time and how we direct our attention.

(7.23) Selfish thought contains the germ of dissolution.

Selfish is the extreme opposite of service.

(7.24) Our greatest success will be achieved by a recognition of the fact that it is just as essential to give as it is to receive.

We give (thought) through service.
