The First Mountain (c)

(2.11) Abundance is the offspring of power.

Power is utilizing cause & effect to produce desired results.

(2.12) Possessions are of value only as they confer power.

Material possessions only have value if they can bring more abundance into our lives.

(2.13) A knowledge of cause & effect allow men to plan courageously and execute fearlessly.

We can plan courageously and execute fearlessly because we know our thoughts are causes and perceptions are effects.

(2.14) Life originates in the inorganic world only by the introduction of a living form.

The organic world is designed to replenish itself, ie: nature. The inorganic world is the Universal/Primordial (unlimited creative potential) which is static, and requires the imagination (life) of the individual to give this static energy form.

(2.15) Thought is the connecting link between the finite and the infinite.

The individual is finite. The Universal (unlimited creative potential) is infinite.

(2.16) The Universal can manifest itself only through the individual.

The Universal is static and requires thoughts from the individual to start it in motion. (3.30)

(2.17) Causation depends upon polarity. A circuit must be formed. The Universal is the positive side of the battery of life, the Individual is the negative, and thought forms the circuit.

Causation (Cause & Effect) depends upon an individuals thoughts (action) interacting with the unlimited creative potential (Universal). This polarity produces form. Form is perception that leads to a response or reaction to existing conditions, which gives way to the creation of new conditions.

(2.18) Many fail to secure harmonious conditions because they do not understand this law. There is no intentional polarity. They have not found the circuit.

Without a knowledge and application of cause & effect, thought is not driven by intention, and–thus–ruminating mind will direct our attention.

(2.19) A recognition of the cause & effect with the intention of utilizing this law for a definite purpose is necessary to manifest our ideal state.

A definite purpose is important because the mastermind must hold ideas big enough to counteract and destroy all petty and annoying obstacles (5.27). Purpose is/are the “ideas big enough.”

Purpose will constantly be revised, so it’s important not to get hung up on a specific manifestation of our purpose.

(2.20) Thought will correlate with its object and bring it into manifestation because thought is a product of the spiritual “mind,” and spirit is the creative principle of the universe.

The mind of individuals is spiritual because humans are able to separate their thoughts  from their psychological forces and biological drives.
