(4.11) Any purpose in life can be achieved through a scientific understanding of the spiritual nature of truth.
“Scientific” refers to observing effects produced by thoughts (cause) and directing our attention to consistently applying this knowledge regardless of the situation we are experiencing.
(4.12) Knowledge of our power, courage to dare, and the faith to do so, are necessary steps to materialize the ideal in the objective world.
“Our power” is our ability to direct our attention. “Courage to dare” is refers to decisions we make with anticipation of effects that will be produced by directed attention. “Faith” refers to our confidence in the principle of cause & effect.
(4.13) A practical working knowledge of cause and effect is secured by an understanding of natural law.
“Understanding natural law” is recognizing that all nature unfolds based on the principle of cause & effect.
(4.14) The effect of an understanding of natural law is a recognition that we can adjust ourselves to divine and unchanging principles.
When we understand that cause & effect (natural law) is the guiding (divine and unchanging) principle of experience, we can intentionally begin to direct our attention (cause) to produce desired effects.
(4.15) The degree of success we achieve in indicated by the degree in which we realize we can not change the infinite but must cooperate with it.
The infinite is cause & effect, as expressed in by the concepts of polarity and duality, upon which all form and experience depends.
“Realize” refers to our willingness to accept responsibility for our thoughts.
(4.6) The law of attraction rests on vibration which–in turn–rests on love. This is the principle which gives thought its dynamic power. Any thought impregnated with love is invincible.
The law of attraction is cause & effect. “Vibration” refers to the resonance created by thought. “Love” is the force that compels us to one another; the recognition that all individuals are expressions of the same unlimited creative potential.
(4.7) It is invincible because it is a natural law. All natural laws are invincible, unchangeable, and act with mathematical certitude–without deviation or variation.
Cause & effect is the only principle which can be relied upon to produce measurable results.
This is the only principle ever used or ever can be used. There is none other. (7.29)
(4.8) A solution to our problem seems difficult if we are uninformed or inexperienced.
“Uninformed” refers to ignorance of natural law. “Inexperienced” means we have not applied knowledge we have gained.
(4.9) It is impossible for the mind to receive an entirely new idea if there is not a corresponding vibratory cell capable of receiving the idea.
We learn by repetition.
Each repeated action renders the image more accurate than the former. (7.5)
(4.10) Wisdom is secured through concentration. It is an unfoldment. It comes from within.
Wisdom is the ability to make choices without the hinderance of internal bias and chatter.
